i have used banana boat dark tanning oil with spf 4 and it has worked really well

you can get a tan fast or gradually and it makes your skin really soft with a nice scent

you just have to buy a bottle which costs about 6 bucks

works like a charm for natural sun tanningHow do i get tan super fast with out going to a tanning salon?
I see what you are saying about the spray tan how sometimes its orange. Well to tell you the truth Im a big tanner and I use the beds alot but I am pregnant now so I can't. I have been going spray tanning and I love it. It takes two min but the thing is you have to get sprayed where they do air brush tanning it looks so much better. Where I live we have beach bum tanning salons here and I swear by them they are great but you might have to try a few before you find the place you like. Remember dont use just any spray(like mistic tan) use an airbrush tan. Good luck, it looks great.
try Jergens self tanning lotion

it is great and bery cheap
get a tanning lotion. so it tans you gradually.

Hair salon in San Francisco (great cut/color but not super expensive)???

I need to get my hair highlighted/lowlighted/trimmed in SF %26amp; would love to find a place that can do a great job without being ridiculously expensive. I tried Milvali Salon- but it cost $200 to get partial highlights %26amp; a trim and the cut and color both sucked. I also tried a place on church/market where I spent $250 for bad highlights/average cut. I have shoulder-length, basic, easy brown hair. It isn't thick/curly/kinky or complicated in any way. I wouldn't mind paying a fair bit if I knew the results would rock (have stylists in Denver %26amp; Australia who I pay big bucks to, but they always do a sensational job), but am not willing to pay a bunch the first time with a stylist until I see the results. The stylists I've seen here have always been highly recommended (citysearch) and I've always gone to the exact person I've been referred to.

Please help. Hot date this weekend- can't go looking like I do!

Cheers!

  • Salon hair product for super frizzy wavy/damaged hair??!?!?

My hair is super frizzy and wavy. I usually straighten it because my wavy hair doesn't look nice wavy it looks like a big frizzy mess. I've coloured it a few times, and I straighten it a lot.

I've tried a lot of drugstore products. (yes I've tried John Frieda serum.. which made my hair frizzier)

But I've always been working against my hair type, because I want straight hair. But if I can get my wavy hair to look nice and frizz free, then I'll be happy :)

So what salon product should I get for super frizzy wavy hair, that will define my waves and make them less frizzy?!?!

I'm thinking of buying these products so far:

-Joico K-PAK shampoo (for damaged hair)

-Joico K-PAK conditioner (for damaged hair)

    -Joico K-PAK deep penetrating reconstructor

Thankyou so much if you could help :)Salon hair product for super frizzy wavy/damaged hair??!?!?
This may sound crazy.. but hear me out. I have really frizzy, curly hair. Do not brush your hair unless you are in the shower or b4 a shower. After you get out just use your fingers to run through your hair. Don't wash your hair every time you shower, its bad for your hair!! Also try putting vegetable oil on your hair for an hour or so before you shower or you can even sleep with it in and put a shower cap on and a towel on your pillow. But try for an hour first to see how well your hair takes the veg oil so it doesn't get too greasy. But of course wash it before you go anywhere =P.

After you get out of the shower use leave in conditioner then use mousse.

I hope this helps!! Curly and Wavy hair is really easy to deal with once you know how.. It took me forever to learn my hair but now I love it!!Salon hair product for super frizzy wavy/damaged hair??!?!?
Aveda ';BeCurly'; products. They're a little pricey, but 110% worth it. They're all natural, no chemicals, and work wonders. Plus they smell REALLY good. I have short, fine hair, and they work wonders for me. I've never tried the ';BeCurly'; line, for obvious reasons, but I hear good things. And the women (and men) at the Aveda salon I go to have WONDERFUL hair. :D http://www.aveda.com/templates/products2鈥?/a> that's a link to the Aveda site. Or you can google it. Good luck!!
I'm not too sure about shampoo but try Got2Be hottie conditioner. It's for damaged hair and it works great. Also use a good leave-in conditioner. I use one by Redken...can't remember exactly which, but ask a reputable stylist when you go shopping. They'll know what would be best for you.
Looks like ur waves are acting more like curls haha just wash ur hair with Pantene Curls shampoo and conditioner. When u get out of the shower put on some Biosilk silk therapy to tame some frizziness. Air dry so u won't get damage from the heat from a blowdryer. When your hair is still a little bit wet apply some Pantene Curls mousse. This mousse makes ur wavy/curly hair calmer and pretty well hope I helped :D
Bio-Silk is great on my hair. Also Infusion 23 leave in conditioner. Its not that expensive and it works great. Also try to use a heat activated protecter on your hair when you straighten it. It helps alot.
i have really frizzy hair and i use olive oil serum and that works.but you coould try to relax it,so itll be straight.trynot to straighten it that much anymore and get it trimmed regularly
there are those hot oil treatments and it definitely calms down the frizzes in my hair! and if your hair is damaged and dry then they are a good thing to look to.
    My hair frizzes often!

I use the Herbal Essences shampoo.

It's the new stuff, the weird shaped bottles and pretty colors!

There is one for damaged hair!

    Try it :)
the best product for this is brazilian keratin treatment try this site and check for your self
redken smooth down butter treatment!! It will work:D!
catwalk -curls rock or oatmeal and honey (its really good for damaged hair)

ive been using garnier fructis wonder waves and its really been helping my waves look nice and it cuts down the frizz.

    this is what i do....

shampoo only the roots of my hair ( only 2 times a week depending on if your hair gets really oily or not)

condition it everytime you take a shower.. targeting the ends.

(never put conditioner on the roots of you hair)

leave that in for a while.. (shave your legs and wash your body while its in )

rinse the conditioner out with cool water.

atleast twice a month use a deep conditioner like Cholesterol* you can find it at sallys beauty or wal mart. its about $5 and it comes in a medium sized tub.

massage that into your ends at rap your hair in a towel or a cap.

leave in for about an hour then rinse.

try not to blow dry your hair! if you have to, do it on cool.

if your hair gets really frizzy while air drying, put it into two loose pigtail braids.

proclaim thermal spray is good for straightening hair. you can find that at sallys beauty suppy too.

    goodluck!
to defrizz your hair you may need lots of different products....

you should get a leave in conditioner a hair serum that dosnt make your hair frizzier ... find one USE ONE hair defrizz spray and after you wash your hair wrap a towel that was soaked with hot water then wringed out and put around your hair for like 30 mins .

hope my advice helped .. try it out

P.S. you look a lot like someone i know named JEANNA ... just thot id sayy that even tho its random :P
hey i totally understand what you are talking about coz i had the same problem my hair is very dry and curly and i just hated it to the max and was never able to accept its nature, so i was like always straightening it and looking all over the internet for the best straightening products, but believe me nothing worked..my advice to you is to accept your hair and adore it, i started using herbal essences for hydration shampoo and conditioner (seperate not the 2 n 1) so you get a nicely hydrated hair after showering, after than is towel dry it for seconds (keep it wet) then app;y a curl keeper products ( i personally use the pantene oil replacement for definite curls and mix it with hair serum then apply generously to you hair, never comb just with your fingers try to separate the curls and turn your head over and scrunch the curls its amazing, let it dry normally or use a hair diffuser (i don't have it ) and you will get a great curl, nxt day you apply some drops of water and you will get those curls u lost while sleeping again

    wish u the best
i have the same problem. my hair is black and its really smooth and shiny when i straighten it but when i dont its frizzy dry and rough. you need :

    -biosilk therapy

    - ApHOGEE Keratin %26amp; Green Tea Restructurizer

    - Redken Extreme Anti-Snap Leave-in Treatment

i hope this helps b/c it sure helped me :)

oh and have u ever tried the JoJoBa hot oil treatment?

its great, first do this and then use all the other products

Please help me...Going to a super swanky party in S.F. and I need a great salon!?

I'm African American and I've always done my own hair, but lately no amount of flat ironing or processing gets me the silky results that a salon wrap provides. Planning to be at the Sir Francis Drake, a salon near there would be a huge benefit, but I'm willing to travel a bit for silky conditioned hair. Please advise would love to look right this Thanksgiving.Thank you!!Please help me...Going to a super swanky party in S.F. and I need a great salon!?
    Lol i like that term ';super swanky';

Anyways, try Sally's Salon %26amp; Spa - Asian Hair Specialist

i hear they do a great job

Ok,so if you have super short nails,is there a way for a nair salon to make them longer?

do they put on fake nails for ppl?..cuz,i have really short nails, and have never had a reason to get them done.but now i want to get them done, but they are shirt =/ what can they do?Ok,so if you have super short nails,is there a way for a nair salon to make them longer?
Well... I grow my own long nails *polishes nails and flips hair*...lol

In order to get acrylic nails, they need to be short anyway, so they can put the acrylic (fake one) on... so, if you already got short nails, great.. you can get acrylics put on.. you choose the size and shape, long, medium.. oval, round or square tips.. I like square.. it looks sexy on me..lol.. but seriously, they look nice.. then you can get them left with a clear polish, colored or get a design on them... I usually get something on my nails done for christmas... like lil trees or little Rhine stones.. super cute!!.. oh I had a mini present on one year..aww... there are a tone of things to get done.. it's cool.. also, they can free hand a design, like a flower or whatever or airbrush a more intricate design...

There's your answer.... Oh wait.. I did get gel nails once.. those were nice and natural looking... so, there are your options..

Cheers =(Ok,so if you have super short nails,is there a way for a nair salon to make them longer?
if you have no nails then you should be worried. But you have nails.

You can either do acrylic nails,. They put a fake plastic tip on your nail then coat it with powder. It turns out really nice and natural if you find a good place. Other places are alright. Maybe Im to picky. Then get them done every 2 -3 weeks. To maintain them looking nice and new.

They turn out long nails, you can have them any length you like any colour or style you want, let them know.
ok i dunno any wya at a salon except for fake nails but i know they have a type of nail polish ( i think its clear) that makes your nails grow longer .. i have mine at the drug store (shoppers drug mart)
Yeah I wear fake ones all the time, they can be different lengths, you decide, and they can design them however you want, just ask them.
No they can't stimulate nail growth. Yes they can give you fake nails. You can also buy them in stores that sell cosmetics.

    VIVA LA RAZA!
Yes they can put artificial nails, I would suggest silk nails instead of acrylics. Are a bit more expensive but they look as close to the real thing. :)
yes they do put on fake nails for people !They are called acrylic nails! You can get them at almost any nail salon .
Yes, they glue on fake ones.
    uhm yeah.

Is super cuts a good hair salon?

Im a guy, I wanna get a ';Jrock'; or ';scene'; hairstyle. I know how to style it myself but i cant cut for sh*t. Is Super cuts a good place to get my haircut for a style like this? and if not what are some good hair stylists? I live in san diegoIs super cuts a good hair salon?
I think you need to go in and check out the scene at super cuts and see how good they do hair. If you like them then make an appointment.

make sure you tell them what you are looking for in your hair cut.Is super cuts a good hair salon?
no!! super cuts effing sucks! one time i just went to get a haircut and this fag was cutting my hair, and he asked if it was okay to do my hair like his!!! it was red and wavy, with this crazy thing at the front, and then operah came on the radio and he started singing!!! i couldnt stop laughing and when he asked what i was laughing at i was saying that there were kids out the window that were throwing ice cream on eachother. lol IT EFFING SUCKS! so yeah dont go there.
I think it's ok for a trim, but not for a style change. Pay the money and go see a stylist at a good salon. It's worth it.

Where to go...Salon or Super Cuts?

I'm still in high school, and I've had my hair cut at a salon before. I wear my hair long, about four inches below my shoulders, with the shortest layer starting at my neck.

My hair is now at my waist and I want a hair cut, but I don't want to pay $40 for layers and a three inch trim.

Should I just go to a salon, or is Super Cuts capable of such layering?Where to go...Salon or Super Cuts?
Super Cuts should be good for a trin and to redo your layers, thats what i always do i only go to a salon when im getting color or a really drastic cut and style.Where to go...Salon or Super Cuts?
I would recommend a local beauty school before Supercuts.

The students are totally supervised the entire time they are doing your hair. Unlike some nightmare haircut you could end up at Supercuts!

Beauty schools will save you big bucks!

    Good luck!!
super cuts is just as great as a salon. jsut bring in a pic and they'll replicate it exactly.

Any one have good or bad feed back about super cuts salon . [being an employee]?

i didnt work for a super cuts but i worked for a salon chain that is similar and you really dont have time to focus on the customer and its horrible they make you work and work and work and you only have so much time to get done with a haircut and if you dont go fast enough you are talked about behind your back and basically it is the Mcdonalds or Wendys of the hairstyle world....i would think it over before going into a salon of that nature....Any one have good or bad feed back about super cuts salon . Hi there yes I worked at a Stupid Cuts as we called it in Miami Fl. No money and you had to cut hair their way. Using these big fat combs and adopting to the system. I don't know how long you have been doing hair me 34 yrs. I could not conform to their way. and as I said I made no money. If you are a stylist why don't you try the hair cuttery if there is one in your area. If you like working for the corporates. They aren't bad and last I knew it was 45% comm. At S.C. you only get an hourly. Good luck..Bkis

I have SUPER thick and coarse hair, should I buy Mane n' Tail or salon brands?

I have really thick and coarse black hair (not afro, just the color). Should I try the Mane n' Tail or go to the salon and and ask what they suggest for my hair. I will be getting the shampoo and conditioner on whatever i choose. What do you think?I have SUPER thick and coarse hair, should I buy Mane n' Tail or salon brands?
I'm a cosmetologist and I love using Mane-n-tail. But I have fine hair and it adds body and shine. With thick hair you would have better luck with a solon brand for thick coarse hair.I have SUPER thick and coarse hair, should I buy Mane n' Tail or salon brands?
i have thick hair also, and i don't always use salon products because they can be pretty expensive. i've never used mane n' tail, but i really enjoy herbal essence...and pantene pro v. it makes my hair silky and healthy.

    try those!
i would personally have salon brand hair product because i personally have thick hair and i work at a hair salon as a manager and hair cutter/colorer i reccomend tresseme salon brand and dejavu salon brand
Mane N Tail doesn't have silicones in it like some other products.... you may like the effect that it gives.... although i personally don't like the feel of them in my hair and that's why i use Mane N Tail ;-)
Go with salon brand products they are best for any type of hair. DO NOT USE MANE N' TAIL!!!!!!!!!! It will kill the color of your hair and its just not a smart idea.
i would ask the salon what they think about mane n' tail and ask what else they suggest
    ask the salon

  • I need to get a great tan. I am super pale. How do I get a great tan from a tanning salon?

I'm a red head, too, and a tanning salon feels fun, but it's so damaging to your skin.

Get a fake tan from a bottle! That way, you'll look great, and you won't hurt your skin with the fake lights.I need to get a great tan. I am super pale. How do I get a great tan from a tanning salon?
First off, find a place that fits your price range. It'd also be good to find a place that allows you to buy many sessions at once for a little cheaper, since it sounds like you'll be going often. It'd probably be a good idea to buy your own tanning goggles ($1-5) and some tanning lotion. The lotion is very important for a good tan; look for one with hemp (keeps the skin from drying out), bronzer (for a little extra color), and a low SPF. I personally use Australian Gold Barely Legal Tanning Lotion, but you can pick whichever one suits you best. When you start going, only go 2-3 times a week for the first week or two. Since you're very pale, going more often than that at the beginning could really damage your skin. After that, you can go more often, though going every day is not recommended. Slowly build the time you tan at each session. Since you're so fair, definitely only go 5 minutes for the first session or two. Trust me, at my first session I tried to go 10, and I came out bright red. From 5 minutes build up to 7, then 10, then 15, then 20. If at 20 minute sessions your skin is handling okay, you can work your way up to 30 minutes, but you should never go any longer than that.

Good luck, and I hope you're super bronze before you know it!I need to get a great tan. I am super pale. How do I get a great tan from a tanning salon?
it actually depends......i think you could do it....if you took the tanning bed way........cause that way.....you can go in different settings and work into your skin being more tan.......its much better than anything else and you can regulate it....so i suggest go for it and do the tanning bed.
I don't think you should, because no matter what, you'll always go pale again.

    Red heads don't tan good.
I don't think that you should go to the tanning salon because it's bad for your skin. Sometimes, it has side effects that can occur later in your life or in a couple hours. My teacher said that her friends got a tan in one of those places 7 years ago and now their skin is more wrinkly and older than my teacher's even though they are the same age.

So i think that you should skip the salon and get a tan from a spray. it's less damaging and you can wash it off and experiment on how dark you want your skin to be. good luck and hope i helped.=]

Do you get your haircut at the franchise hair salons (Great Clips, Super Cuts etc.) or at a private salon?

Why?Do you get your haircut at the franchise hair salons (Great Clips, Super Cuts etc.) or at a private salon?
I use Great Clips because a friend of mine works there who has done my hair for many years. She is very much in demand as she gives great cuts. I also have a friend who works at an exclusive shop and sometimes she cuts my hair in exchange for babysitting. I've had bad haircuts from quicky hair but salons and from private ones too. Depends on the hairdresser.Do you get your haircut at the franchise hair salons (Great Clips, Super Cuts etc.) or at a private salon?
I order them to my place its more convenient
Right now, im about 2 go 2 Supercuts because frankly, i dont have the $ to go 2 a private salon lol..........plus, its really close by my house
I get mine done at a private salon, but my friend and my mom go to Great Clips/ Super Cuts places. They go to the same stylist every time and are happy with the results.

Many stylists in Great Clips are just as talented, but they want the security of having set hours and benefits. You just have to find one that you like.
I go to a private salon when I get my hair cut. It's usually a better cut, and it's worth the extra cost!! Franchise salons don't usually style your hair after they cut it, it's usually not the best cut at places like Great Clips or Fantastic Sams, and they ususally just want to do a quick cut and get it over and get to the next person at places like that... ;)
i get them at any place as long as they have a good reputation
I go to the local beauty collage. People learning the biz seem more passionate about what they're doing. The problem with places like super cuts ... they're trained to cut hair the quickest and most efficient way possible. We're talikin' 4 minute haircuts here. I often ask for my hair cut with shears instead of electric clippers ... it takes much longer. Try that at Super Cuts.

The haircuts at the beauty collage I frequent are only $4 ...and $2 on Wednesdays! I tip well.
i dont think it really matters, but i personaly just like the atmosphere of a private place.
i go to a private salon. but really it all depends on what you want. i dye my hair, get layers, and have side swept bangs, so i prefer to go to a private salon where they often have more experience or higher end training. i have gone to franchise salons though and they are not bad by any means. it's all what you prefer, really.
i get it done at someones house they are my personal hair dresser i like it because they only have to worry about my hair and they are not cutting other lice heads with the same scissors and idc ir the a steralized i like having my own person better
private salon. i also get my hair dyed there too...well for one, im friends with the owners daughters, but the woman who does my hair has done it for a long long time...i only like people doing my hair if i like their hair, and everyone in that salon has great hair. besides, i had a bad experience at one of those franchise places before

That should be pretty punk looking then. Good luck!I need to find a really super hip punk rock cutting edge hair salon in gainesville fl, any suggestions?
nothings more cutting edge and ';punk'; than a good old DIY haircut.

do it yourself, or get a friend to. by cutting yourself you can get a very choppy, edgy haircut and have it EXACTLY how you want.
They don't cater only to that, but Ciao Bella salon in the Sun Center or something *sorry- I don't live around there so I can't give specific locations* was voted the best salon in gainesville, so if you have a picture I'm certain they'd be able to cut your hair for you :)

try and post on either craigslist or friendster that you will rent (and drive yourself) if you prefer to people who needs a pick up ride from the airport to their hotel destination. Another way is to advertise that you can drive tourists to different destinations in Metro Manila, or maybe other tourist spots, like Tagaytay or Baguio. If you don't want to drive yourself, hire a driver to do the driving. Check both sites for the asking price, and then price yourself accordingly.

You can also canvass some parents of schoolchildren in a certain subdivision and offer your services of picking their kids from their houses to their school. Lots of income opportunities, if you're willing to look. What can i do to my van (hyundai grace super salon) to have an income? ?

They change colors often and highlight it. Can they all be lucky with super strong shiny hair that resists all those chemicals. Is there a salon treatment that will really make your hair super shiny? Is there a salon treatment for really shiny hair. How do all those movie stars have super shiny hair ?
Use a hair serum to get that shiny look, but don't use too much or it might look greasy. Is there a salon treatment for really shiny hair. How do all those movie stars have super shiny hair ?
    use cheap shampoos

no home made recipes or style products

    cheap!

trust me they work because they have chemicals in them which makes it very shiny!

    a couple of ideas

    naked shine

    alberto balsam (99p!)

and natural source tea tree which was originally sold as shower gel but now shampoo

    good luck

i think it is called a cellophane rinse or something - its by =Keihls or something else high end

There is a line of dyes and rinse by Jazzy and they have one called called clear - I'm not sure what it does but I use it with color and I always have shiny hair - I do my own though-

I also use hair masks or olive oil treatments

at home you can try rinsing with apple cider vinegar and water 50/50 mix - works pretty good or try a honey and water water mix for final rinse if you need lots of moisture (honey is a humectant) 1tsp per 1.5 cups of warm water - don't rinse out
Touch ups, air-brush and adjustments to photography adds on those super celebrity impossible to get looks.
Okay this is an easy one..No there is not really any salon treatment but I can tell you Hot oil treatments once a week and also pro v shampoo and conditioner will then make it shine really nicely because it contains a waxy subtance.you can also use a friz serum while your hair is wet then blow it dry on low
a **** load of hair products and proffessional hair stylists that get paid thousands of dollars to make your hair look amazing. thats how celebs do it.
    Try a hair glaze.

You can have it put in at a salon, it usually comes in Black, Brown, Blonde, Red(head) and Clear glaze.

I got a black glaze and it made my hair super shiny for about a year and everyone always complimented me on my shiny hair. The only problem with a glaze is that it is not supposed to last for a long time and it does. so after a year of having the glaze, when I wanted to change my haircolor it took months of clarifying shampoo to get the color out.

So I recommend the clear glaze!

    Hope this helps!
Although the girls with the others answers might somewhat have a point, there is something that you can do that will cost you no more than a regular hair color. You need to sit down with your stylist and discuss with her/him about Redken clear. It is put on just like color, only its clear and its main purpose is to provide shine. As far as strength goes, you need to discuss with your stylist about protein treatments. I love Joico K-Pak or Redken Cat; however, some of these products are not available to the public.

Can i have super short nails, and still get fake nails applied at a salon im getting gel or ayrical?

Title explains all, also gel nails or acryicl? Can i have super short nails, and still get fake nails applied at a salon im getting gel or ayrical?
Yes you can. If you want to keep your nails short, go for gel. If you want longer nails, go for acrylic. (Not acryicl lol). But be warned: either of these can really screw up your natural nail, and unless you are planning on getting your nails done again, and again, for a while, I don't reccomend you get any type of artificial nail. Also, just to be safe, make sure the person doing your nails does NOT grind your nail down. If they start tell them to stop. And before going to the salon, ask what they use to do gel nails. If they avoid answering, leave, and if they use a powder (called MMA- it's illegal) leave. Also, ask for an MSDS sheet (material and safety data sheet).Again, if they refuse, leave and find another technician. But yeah, fake nails are fun to have, just do it safely. Can i have super short nails, and still get fake nails applied at a salon im getting gel or ayrical?
you can still get the nails. in fact they cut long nails shorter in order to put the nails on. i would get acrylic. thats the only type i have ever gotten and most of my friends get them over gel. hope this helps.
yes. you can. get gel. it's better than acrylic.

How do I straighten my super curly hair myself? It usually takes around 8hr at the salon. ?

First it is relaxed, rinsed, washed and deep conditioned. Then 1-1.5 hrs under hair dryer, blow dryed and then flat ironed. I just don't have then money to keep this process up. Anyone have any suggestions? How do I straighten my super curly hair myself? It usually takes around 8hr at the salon. ?
i think the best product is the maxiglide. i got mine a couple years ago, and i can't live without it! go to the website, maxiusbeauty.com to see how it works. How do I straighten my super curly hair myself? It usually takes around 8hr at the salon. ?
Well you can just get it relaxed and if you have a lot of hair you should probably get it thinned out...that's what I used to do. But it became a real pain and to flat iron it myself it would take four hours. I still get it thinned out and with my flat iron (its a maxius) it takes like an hour now. so you can try that.

8 hours - WOW. Well, all I can think of is maybe investing in some of the products that they have at the salon and following that process. Then buying some really good straightners and straighten your hair slowly and in layers. If you do it in layers then you can put it all together at the end.

    Good luck with this.

    xx

What is that ';Elmer's glue'; like white paste that they use at the hair salon to make your hair super soft?

Does anybody knows the name of this hair conditioning and where can I buy it?

What brand makes the best? What is that ';Elmer's glue'; like white paste that they use at the hair salon to make your hair super soft?
I don't know of the conditioner that makes your hair super soft, but my hairdresser recommended a different product that makes hair soft.

It's in a clear slender tall bottle, it's by Paul Mitchell and it's called Super Skinny Serum. Its a clear liquid and thick like syrup.

I have shoulder length hair, and I only use three drops.

My hairdresser told me to start at the ends and work towards the scalp.

And on the plus side, it was very inexpensive, only 5 dollars.

    And it lasts forever.

Is there any real difference in quality when it comes to Super Cuts and a real expensive salon?

Anyone who has been to both I was wondering if there is a real difference in quality of the hair cut you get.Is there any real difference in quality when it comes to Super Cuts and a real expensive salon?
Not if your a guy with short hair, but for me yeah. I have really thick hair and alooot of it, and there aren't even a lot of proffesional expensive hair stylists that can layer my hair the way I like it. So I guess it depends on your hair. If you find your hair easy to manage then you probably don't need anything too expensive, look in a phonebook sometimes independent hairstylers open up their own salon and have really good prices, but if even you find it hard to manage your haie then I'd suggest going somewhere more pricey and asking for someone with a lot of experience with your type of hair.Is there any real difference in quality when it comes to Super Cuts and a real expensive salon?
The people who work at an expensive salon are usually more knowledgeable when it comes to cutting for hair. Say you have really thick, full hair. They'd be able to cut it specially so that it behaves normally. They're especially good for getting haircuts when you have very curly hair. I've been to both types of salons, and I think you should go to a more expesive salon. :)
i really don't recommend u going to cheap a$$ salons [many bad experiences] they never end up keeping the length u tell them to keep it, They always cut it the way they want it, and they don't have good hair products. i suggest u good to expensive salons or super cuts it's totally worth the money :)
It really doesn't matter which salon you go to. It's the hairdressers themselves.

  • I'm looking for a super clean nail salon in Los Angeles?

I live in Culver City. I prefer a salon that uses new tools for each client and doesn't use those whirlpool baths that people have been getting infections from. Does anyone know of a place like this?I'm looking for a super clean nail salon in Los Angeles?
I understand your concerns. One of my closest friends owns a nail salon that fits your requirements. Her salon is one of the only places I know of that does not use whirlpool baths. It is located in Chatsworth though, which is a bit far from Culver City. But it's called Beauty Squared and it's at 21534 Devonshire St Unit D

Difference between expensive salon and a place like super cuts?

What exactly is the different between playing 35-60 for a haircut and paying 18-25 for one at a place like super cuts or great clips? Are the stylists better trained? Or is it just how they present themselves as a business?Difference between expensive salon and a place like super cuts?
Many of the stylists that work in lower end salons, such as Great Clips and Super Cuts, are just starting out in the hairdressing business. It's a popular place for them to start because they're guaranteed an hourly rate, unlike other salons where you only profit when you have an established clientele. Also, because they are hourly paid, though sometimes they get an extra commission, they tend to not pay as much attention to detail and be as thorough because they're getting paid no matter what... And getting paid very little. It is common in salons like these for the stylists to rush, too. The reason for this being that it's almost impossible to make a decent profit in a salon that barely charges for their services, so in order for them to make money, they have to service more clients.

In a more upscale salon atmosphere, salon staff tend to have a better appreciation for the clients and will take the time to talk with them and pay attention to what they're saying. They will focus on the details and take their time.

Of course, you'll have good and bad stylists in both types of salons, but the account that I've given is the standard ';given'; for salons.Difference between expensive salon and a place like super cuts?
the difference i find is that, a salon clearly listens to what you want and they have great service. you can find a place with good service and good prices too. i go to trade secret and it is excellent. they wash your hair very well instead of just spritzing it, and ask you what you want. they even ask where you want the part in your hair. the people are very nice too. sometimes at a place like super cuts they don't always listen to what you want and the people are crabby sometimes.

My hair is a light orangish color (GROSS) my salon charges 40-70 dollars to dye it and it doesn't say anything about bleaching. So i was just wondering if anybody goes to a moderately priced salon and has bleached their hair white before and remembers the price? I know all salons are different but an estimate would help.
